Storyline:
JJ aka John Shaft Jr. (Jessie Usher) comes fresh from MIT and joins the FBI as an cybercrime expert. He does not really have much in common with his father (Samuel L. Jackson) and his great-uncle (Richard Roundtree), both of whom served as law enforcement badass cops on the streets. But when your best friend is murdered, he has to work with his father. Both have become alienated from each other over the years because Shaft Senior almost missed his son’s childhood because he was chasing gangsters in Harlem. But now it is to resolve the old dispute to zusammenzuraufen again and unite classic and modern police methods with each other. But that is much easier said at such a meeting of the generations than finally done …
